Planning on doing some spring cleaning in the near future? If your spring cleaning plans involve sorting through your closet or dresser drawers, here a few great ways you can help others in the process:
DONATE: Donating your used clothes to a thrift store is a great way to support a variety of causes and people. We are obviously a bit bias, but if you choose to donate to a Salvation Army thrift store, not only do you benefit thrift store shoppers but you also support the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) programs. The ARCs rely on the business from the thrift stores to help support men and women through their rehabilitation treatment.
GIVE: You may know of someone at your corps or in your neighborhood that may be struggling to afford clothing for themselves or their children. Your used clothing may help alleviate this struggle.
HOST A CLOTHING DRIVE: Ask your friends and family if they are doing any spring cleaning and collect their used clothing. Host a sale at your home or corps and then donate the proceeds to your favorite cause.
